INTERNET CENSORSHIP GROUP MEETING #5:
When/Where: In ENAD second floor lab

I proofread ther white paper this morning. Then, I did the layout for the paper using Adobe InDesign. We plan on meeting later to look for more spelling errors and make sure our document is consistent throughout.

This week: continued research, started my section of the white paper, and exchanged section plans in chat-room meeting on thursday.  Plan on meeting as a group on the Sunday at the end of spring break.  

I finished editing my part of the draft.  After the peer review our group will meet to put together a final draft and presentation.  The only individual task I need to complete is to prepare fo the presentation.

Earlier tonight we compiled our writing and worked out a rough format for the final paper. We also compiled our sources and checked eachother's writing and citations.

Our draft is ready to go for Wednesday, but still needs some final touches before Monday.

We planned another group meeting for this weekend to finalize the White Paper Project.

Everyone has been on track with their work.

This week I worked with the group to compose the "Discussion" portion of the white paper.  This section is the culmination of research previously done on legality and of new research done on the actions of other ISPs in the wake of the RIAA's announcement to work with ISPs to curb illegal file-sharing.  I also aided the group in editing the discussion section of the rough draft to be turned in on 25 Mar 09 in class.

Today I helped put together our rough draft as well as format it.  I edited the completed version after the group meeting and reformatted our works cited page, making sure all the citations corresponded and were accounted for as well as cutting down on unnecessary information in our paper so that we didn't go over the limit with the added words for our executive summary and conclusion. 

We met Tuesday March 24th in the computer lab in Beering where class is held.  All memebers of the group (Brett, John, Hu, and Liz) were present.  We compiled all of our revised and completed research and citations.  A title page, table of contents, executive summary, and conclusion were written and formatting was completed.  The goal for the next meeting is to edit as well as to have our slides done for the powerpoint presentation so those can be put together.

I finished my part which was the solution. Now working on the executive summary and closing as a group.

I've been assigned to fill out the perspective of the Internet Service providers. I reasearched Comcast and AT&T's network management policies. I'm also designing the layout of our white paper. I'm planning on using Adobe InDesign to make our format easy on the eyes. I should be able to finish the paper layout template this evening before my meeting with our group.
