Topic Perposal: The Miss use of Facebook by Employers

It has become an issue where a "Social Networking Site" have now become a sight for companies to check out future employees and even current ones, and asses if they are fit for employment. In my opinion this has taken away what was a very cool new technology that allowed people to socialize on the internet.  Employers are not allowed to go to your home and look though the pictures on your hard drive that are only intend to be seen by close friends and family, why is this okay on the internet. It is well established that nothing is private once you but it on the internet, but I feel that as we push technology forward it is very important for every one employers the public and the people themselves to use these technologies such as Face book in the way they were intended otherwise we the people of these technologies will miss out on the great any benefits they can provide.
