   Decided to split up work amongst the three of us -- each writing a section of the project proposal.

   Josh - Specific real-world solutions/alternatives to video      piracy

INTERNET CENSORSHIP GROUP MEETING #1:
When/Where: In class Fri. Feb. 20th
Who: Mark, Paul, Dave
Goal: work on individual assignments determined in last meeting for proposal memo.
Topics: Gov't censorship, political control of internet. Net neutrality, ISP's vs google. Memo will be internal FCC.
Decisions: sticking with the net neutrality topic to narrow down the subject.
Tasks: Paul covers resources, Mark covers the problem basics, Dave covers possible solutions.

Piracy Group: Meeting 1

02/20/09 - ENGL 421 Classroom

Goal: Discuss proposal memo. Assign writing tasks.  Find meeting time

Censorship Group: Meeting One

We met on Friday the 20th of February during class time.  The members present were John, Brett, and Liz.  The goal of this meeting was to specify our project proposal and look at possible solutions to the problems as well as work on the overall memo.  The main issue we are focusing on is the internet censorship supported by the Chinese government which restricts access to revolutionary and movement-related issues as well as historic events that could spark revolution or dissension.  We considered two possible solutions: immediate over-arching access to all information, a
