Topic Proposal: Illegal Sharing of Copyrighted Music

Within the last decade the amount of illegal sharing of copyrighted music has become a growing problem.  Artists and record labels complain that sharing music files strips the rightful distributors of compensation for their work.  Some consider file sharing "stealing" while others think nothing of it.

With current technology it is quite easy to make illegal copies of music.  There are many workarounds for protected content such as cracks, format loopholes, and false authorization.

Topic Proposal: Jobs checking Facebook information

On Facebook people can post anything they want from their birthday to a video of them doing a keg stand at the crazy party they were at that weekend. During my internship, I simultaneously managed multiple projects. I helped design and managed the installation of several machine control sets. This included collaborating with several other departments to ensure the project was completed on schedule and to spec and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. I also authored software to organize and allow technicians easy access to machine related documents on remote servers.

Experience

My most relevant experience was serving in the U. S. Air Force.  I was part of somethng greater than myself.  It strengthened my values of responsibility, attention to detail, and helping others.  I was an avionics technician assigned to F-16s, F-117 Stealths, Predators, and CV-22 Osprey. I was part of a squadron responsible for ensuring maximum fighting capabilites of these aircraft.

Experience

In the summer following my freshman year, I interned at a human rights law firm in New Delhi that was specifically concerned with women's rights advocacy. I worked with a Supreme Court lawyer, researched case law, helped draft petitions and edited articles for the firm's monthly. The internship left me better educated about women's rights and the legal process.

Work Experience

My most relevant work experience is my internship last summer with Boeing.  I worked as a Weight Engineer on the 787 program.  In this position, I studied the structure of the airplane, gathered weight data for the 787 as well as the other legacy airplanes, and researched relationships between physical characteristics and stress, strain, etc.
