I am a member of the Wiki group. We are focusing on the issue of content control and validation. This particular week we are turning in our Topic Proposal Memo. I was personally responsible for the layout and formatting of the memo, as well as the actual typing and delivery of the memo.

I just e-mailed our Topic Proposal.

When: Friday February 20

Where: In Class

Who: R. Akhavain, S. Ballard, J. Gilsinger, R. Rawlings

Goal: Finish up the memo to be turned in on Monday.

2/23/09

So far, I have helped come up with our proposal as well as research some statistics involving facebook and privacy.

Where: In class

Who: Adam, Ally, Chih-Hao

When: Feb. 20, 2009

Goal:  Finishing up the memo and assigning the absent group member the rest of the work that we did not finish in class.

Topic Discussed: eBay fraud background, possible solutions, resources needed for our topic and conclution.

Decisions: Our topics are about providing possible solutions such as eBay using approved identification and the mandatory use of escrow services to reduce the fraud on eBay.

I am in the piracy group, focusing on the ramifications and responses by internet service providers to the actions being taken by the RIAA in regards to music piracy.

So far, the group has collaborated about the proposal memo. I wrote the first draft of the memo and the rest of the group edited it and made some changes. I then integrated all the changes and composed the final draft of the memo.

Thus far I have participated in 2 group meetings tossing ideas around. 

I have proofread the memo draft and made recommendations on changes.

02/22/09 - ENGL 421 Chatzy

Goal: Make changes to memo for final draft

  - Changes were made to draft as advised by group

  - 2nd draft will be emailed out by Riddle before class

Who: Nathan, Matt, Jordan, Tim (Everyone was Here)

Goal: To finish the memo and get a general idea of where we are going with the paper. (Finished)

Decisions: We decided to take the side of making music downloading free.(With Regulations)

Tasks: Everyone is going to to individual research to bring to the next meeting.

For Next Meeting: Gather sources and possibly start drafting the paper.
