Ok so for the past couple of weeks i've been tryin to find helpful websites and statistics to support our argument, and i think i have. Also I sent my whole group 2 different links that could help the "advertising issue" aspect of our paper. I finished writing my section of the white paper and I was thinking of writing an introduction for the white paper just to give the reader a little background on where our argument is coming from. I have to discuss this with my group to see if they think this is a good idea....

Internet Censorship Individual Blog 3

Over spring break I wrote my contribution to our groups white paper. The section I wrote focused on the response of the Chinese people to an immediate restoration of free, uncensored access to the internet. I focused mostly on drawing parallels with glasnost in the USSR, and the uncontrollable cultural movement that resulted from those policies.

During the week of March 13 and over spring break I work on the introductioon and extent of the problem. I gather two more sources for the extent of the problem. I completed the write up for the extent of the problem. I am working on a creative/attractive title for this section. Also, I wrote an introduction for the white paper. Currently, I am looking for pictures to highlight the extent of the problem. In the coming week, I plan to proof our rough draft and work on the the presentation with my group.

I found another source that has information regarding the legal issues of file sharing. The verdict in the case of the RIAA vs. Jammy Thomas, one of the first wins for the RIAA, has been overturned by the district court in Minnesota. Judge Michael Davis overturned the verdict based on the fact that making files available is not equivalent to actual distribution of copyrighted material. [1]
