Individual Blog Research
Fri, 02/27/2009 - 16:05 — nblessin
After meeting for the second time we came up with who is doing what and the time when it is due. We decided my part is going to be a proposed solution to our problem with music downloading. The due date is March 6th for this. I have begun research and plan to have an outline for our next meeting. The outline will then be sent to M. Oates where he will be able to write the introduction and conclusion.

2/27/09 Individual Blog (Alex Kreul, wiki group)
Fri, 02/27/2009 - 15:48 — Alex
Not much to report this week, as we haven't gotten too far into the white paper project yet.
I was designated the group blogger, meaning it is my responsibility to post group meeting blogs. I am also in charge of gathering background information for the white paper itself.

I am still researching the topic but have foucused my efforts to finding information about the use of facebook by businesses and the legal and ethical issues that this practice presents.

Censorship Individual: Blog 1
Fri, 02/27/2009 - 10:38 — bristow
For the white paper project I have aided in writing the topic proposal and the planning guide. I will be researching the criteria and methods that China uses to block websites. After a discussion with Prof. Kerns, we have decided not to write to the Chinese government directly, but to a group that focuses on internet censorship called Amnesty International. I think this will work to our advantage because the Chinese government won't listen to a bunch of students from the US. However, an organization that focuses on this type of work might yield better results.

26 Feb Individual Contribution to Piracy Group
Fri, 02/27/2009 - 00:11 — d.schmidt
This week the group principally worked on the creation of a project plan, including the allocation of work to individual group members. I aided in the editing and finalization of this project plan, adding suggestions to project component deadlines as well as providing recommendations for the delegation of tasks to groups members. After editing the project plan, I passed the draft on to other group members for further editing.
